Our life mainly revolves around the Five Ws and one H or in simple terms, the Six Ws (Who, What, When, Where, Why and HoW) which are nothing but the questions that we ask ourselves for a better understanding of the life that we live. Everybody has their own perception of these 6 Ws. Let me walk you through my perception of these 6 Ws.
WHO – “Who am I”? We often fall short of words when we are asked a very simple question “Tell me something about yourself.” That is because we never introspect. We in today’s world are always busy judging others. But, what is important is to understand yourself, the kind of person you are. I am not asking you to compare yourself with others but to know how special and unique you are in your own way. We need to be proud of who we are.
WHAT– What are your strengths and weaknesses? What are your likes and dislikes? What makes you happy? What makes you sad? What are your fears? What are your dreams and aspirations? What are the things that make you a different person from rest of the crowd? What is the purpose of your life? Answers to such questions direct you to the right path in life.
WHEN – “When nothing goes right, go left”. This is a popular quote which I really like because when nothing goes well, this quote motivates me to not lose hope and try another way. So, “When” is all about the situations that we face and the moments that we live.
WHERE – “Where do you see yourself five years from now?” “Where are you heading towards?” “Where will life take you?” Where is all about the choices that we make and the decisions that we take. What is important is to make a choice that we won’t regret later.
WHY– Why is the most common question that we ask and there are chances that most of the time we don’t get an answer. People say “Everything happens for a reason”. But, reason may not always be known. So, be prepared for everything, accept everything and keep going.
HOW – How do I become a better person? How do I grow? How can I achieve my goals? How do I reach my destination? How does this work? These are the questions we always ask out of curiosity. But, the bigger question is how life changes over a period of time.
These days, there’s another W added in our lives –“Worry”. All we do is worry. However, we need to get rid of this 7th W and focus on living a happy and content life.
